Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
Our firm's practice began in 1957 to provide engineering services in support of fleet modifications and repairs at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. In the fifty-plus years since, we have continued to provide quality, responsive marine engineering services in support of vessel fleets.
Art Anderson Associates has provided engineering services for US Navy vessels in support of major contractors like AMSEC and Electric Boat. Our presence in Bremerton has allowed us to recruit marine engineers that have extensive personal experience with Navy vessels, either as former sailors or civilian employees of the naval shipyard.
Our resume of vessel renovation and modification projects features dozens of research vessels, mostly under our ongoing term contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Our involvement with NOAA has meant our personnel have not only gained experience in more conventional ship systems, but have learned a great deal about the specialty scientific and analysis equipment a research vessel carries.
Our firm's intense interest in ferry transportation grows out of the fact that ferries are a part of our daily lives in the Puget Sound. For over 30 years, we have provided engineering services to the largest ferry operator in North America, Washington State Ferries, including a wide variety of modification and renovation projects.

Art Anderson Associates proudly serves federal clients through our GSA Schedule contract for Professional Engineering Services (SIN 871). For more information about the services we can provide, please look us up on GSA Advantage! or review our current Schedule catalog.
